The new Hot Spring Solar Heat Exchanger was developed to allow a low pressure drainback tank to be used as an on-demand source of heat for domestic hot water lines and hydronic heating loads. It is the heart of the Simple Drainback Tank from Solar Heat Exchange Manufacturing, but the Hot Spring can also be used in large custom systems for domestic hot water or space heating. It can also be plumbed to the solar lines for pressurized glycol systems to supply heat to large hot water storage tanks.
